DUSU 2026 Election Results: ABVP Wins Three Posts, Independent Deepanshu Shokeen Takes VP Seat

The DUSU 2026 election results are finally out, bringing an end to a closely watched Delhi University Students’ Union election. After 20 rounds of counting, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) won three of the four central panel posts, while independent candidate Deepanshu Shokeen secured the Vice-President position.

ABVP’s Yash Dabas won the President post with 24,576 votes, defeating NSUI’s Vijay Shankar Meena, who received 22,523 votes. Riya Chhawdi won the Secretary post, while Lakshya Raj Singh secured the Joint Secretary position.

Yash Dabas Wins DUSU President Post

The Vice-President result produced a different picture from the other three central posts.

Deepanshu Shokeen, who had previously been associated with NSUI, contested the election as an independent candidate. He secured 30,615 votes and defeated ABVP’s Ishu Maurya and NSUI’s Vir Chatrath.
