How did Anurag Dwivedi become so wealthy?

Anurag Dwivedi had once sold his uncle’s gold chain to buy a phone. He said that his friend Sanjeev told him about Dream11, so they started playing Dream11 with a hundred or two hundred rupees, then two or three thousand rupees. Initially, they lost some and won some. In 2017, they played 6 IPL matches and won 3.50 lakh rupees. After that, this continued, and they started reaching new heights.
Anurag Dwivedi started a YouTube channel and began uploading content. From there, he grew his audience on Instagram and Telegram. He earned a lot of money through gambling. He has also done advertisements for apps like Dream11 and MPL.

Why did the ED conduct raids against Anurag Dwivedi?

According to the ED’s investigation, Anurag Dwivedi is accused of illegally earning a huge amount of money through Sky Exchange and other online gambling and betting apps. These apps facilitate online betting, which is illegal in India. Investigating agencies say that the earnings from these apps were diverted through various means and then luxury cars and other expensive items were purchased with the same money.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken this action under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The investigation revealed that attempts were being made to conceal assets acquired through illegal earnings and to present them as legitimate. Based on this, the ED raided Anurag Dwivedi’s residence in Nawabganj and seized the four luxury cars.

Anurag’s wedding took place at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel 2.

Anurag married his girlfriend from Lucknow. The wedding took place on November 21-22, 2025. This lavish wedding was held at the Queen Elizabeth 2 Hotel in Dubai. It’s worth noting that this isn’t a typical hotel, but a cruise ship. Approximately 100 people attended Anurag’s wedding. Anurag covered all the expenses, including flights, hotel accommodations, and food and drinks. The guests stayed there for five days. Many Bollywood celebrities were present at the wedding. Relatives were astonished by the extravagant arrangements. It was this display of opulence that caught the attention of the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
