Expired Frooti, Appy Fizz and Candy Juice Seized
The Maharashtra FDA barred the expired beverages from being sold, transported or distributed further.

Officials inspected 86 establishments during the campaign. One business was ordered to stop operations immediately, while improvement notices were issued to 60 establishments.
The FDA also suspended 14 food business licences with immediate effect. The action reportedly covered businesses associated with platforms and stores including Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart and Bhagwati Store.
The department additionally seized hundreds of kilograms of dairy products and other food commodities during its inspections.
Crackdown on Gutkha, Pan Masala and Other Prohibited Products
The enforcement campaign has also extended to prohibited food products.
According to the department, criminal action was initiated in cases involving the sale, distribution and transportation of banned products such as pan masala and gutkha. Ten FIRs were registered, nine people were arrested and prohibited products worth more than ₹46 lakh were confiscated.
The FDA also conducted inspections at hotels, restaurants, dhabas and other food establishments, with several businesses receiving improvement notices and some licences being suspended.
