The 29-year-old singer, who had been missing since May 13, 2026, was reportedly found dead in a canal in Ludhiana days after her alleged kidnapping case surfaced online.

According to reports, her body was recovered from the Neelon Canal on the morning of May 19 and was later identified by her family members. The body was then shifted to Samrala Civil Hospital for postmortem and legal formalities. The tragic case has now sparked massive reactions across Punjab and social media platforms.

As per the police complaint filed by her brother Jotinder Singh, Inder Kaur had left her home in Ludhiana on the evening of May 13 in her Ford Figo car to buy groceries. However, she never returned home afterward.

When repeated phone calls went unanswered, her family started searching for her before finally approaching the police. Soon after, an FIR was registered against Sukhwinder Singh, also known as Sukha, and his associate Karamjit Singh.

Family Claims Accused Wanted To Marry Inder Kaur

During the investigation, the victim’s family reportedly revealed that Inder Kaur had known Sukhwinder Singh for almost three years after meeting him through Instagram. Over time, the accused allegedly developed feelings for her and wanted to marry her.

However, things reportedly changed after Inder discovered that Sukhwinder was already married and had children. Following this revelation, she allegedly ended the relationship and refused his marriage proposal.

Her family believes this rejection became the main reason behind the alleged crime. According to them, the accused held a grudge against the singer and later planned her kidnapping and murder.

Accused Allegedly Escaped To Canada

One of the most shocking claims made by the family is that Sukhwinder Singh had recently returned to Punjab from Canada before the incident took place. Reports suggest he allegedly travelled through Nepal to enter India.

\The family further alleged that after carrying out the crime with the help of associates, the accused escaped back to Canada using the same Nepal route. They also claimed that taxis were hired from Moga during the alleged abduction operation.
